Hot-air balloon
Forgot to post this one with the others.
(I can't figure out why this shot does not publish in sharp focus, especially there between the purple and red colors on the balloon. The original is plenty sharp. The percentage of size reduction from the original photo doesn't seem to affect the published sharpness either. Anyone have any ideas?)

Bonnie,
Nice shot! Balloon fests are always a treat for photogs.
The fuzziness might be due to the compression factor in the jpg file. Jpeg format is a "lossy" compression format. That means that in order to shrink the file size down, data is thrown out (or... "lost"). The smaller the final output file size, the more data that gets tossed.
When a substantial amount of data is lost, then you start to lose image quality. It usually shows up first as fuzzi- or blurri-ness.
